We all are knows Syrian Electronics Army is a strong hacking group supporting Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, this group attacks to Microsoft employee email accounts and Skype's blog in this year. It also claimed to have hacked into President Barack Obama's Twitter and Facebook accounts last year.On Tuesday, Syrian Electronics Army(SEA) hacked the International Business Times website CMS control panel and deleted the news artice in CMS.
The SEA claims it counters “fabricated news” critical of Assad in the Western media, and consists of "group of enthusiastic Syrian youths who could not stay passive towards the massive distortion of facts about the recent uprising in Syria.”
The SEA deleted an IBTimes article that apparently wrote about Syria and the Syrian government. It changed the title to "Hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army," and put up a screenshot of IBTimes' CMS, indicating it's hacked the entire backend system. It also had the following message:
"Hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army. This time we only deleted the article that content false information about Syria and the Syrian army. Next time, we will delete all your website."
The SEA also recently launched a large-scale attack against a number of media companies running on the Gigya content delivery network.
In November, the websites of companies including Microsoft, Dell, Ferrari and humanitarian organization Unicef were targeted, as well as media companies like Forbes, the Chicago Tribune, the Telegraph, Evening Standard and Independent of London, Italy's La Repubblica, and CNBC.
