A lot of international headlines including the Malaysia Airlines flight, Russian Ukraine conflict could often result in malicious websites, according to the Center for Internet Security.The agency claims hackers use spam email campaigns, often to exploit these events, to infect users with Malware, or possibly steal credentials. Some tips to protect yourself include:
- Recognize and do not open suspicious emails, including spam or attachments, or those coming from untrusted sources.
- Use different passwords for each internet website that requires a username and password.
- Use up-to-date antivirus, anti-spyware and anti-adware protection software.
