FIFA World Cup Security Center Wi-Fi Password Leaked

FIFA World Cup's security centre were exposed the wifi password after a photograph of host nation Brazil's federal police brass inadvertently captured the creds written on a white board.

The snap appeared in newspaper Correio Braziliense, and showed the head of international cooperation Luiz Cravo Dorea standing in the multi-million dollar security centre run by Israeli firm Risco and used to watch video feeds from surveillance cameras around the event's venues.

Dorea is responsible for coordinating the efforts of 205 police agents from 35 countries, whose duties include the protection of “Presidents, princes and sheikhs”.

The password – a spelling variation on “Brazil 2014” was clearly visible in the background in the newspaper’s picture, as was the network SSID, both of which appeared on screens used to survey feeds from surveillance cameras around the World Cup venues.

The bungle is at least the second of its kind to occur this year. In February the security centre at the US Super Bowl scrambled to change its wireless creds after CBS broadcast video which captured an SSID and password.
